Hogan has failed to stop the TransCanada pipeline under the Potomac River. The new pipeline will be built in western Maryland, near Hancock by TransCanada, a company that is responsible for some of the biggest oil spills in the country. It will go UNDER the Potomac River in an area that is porous and will make the possibility of a spill very high. A breach of the pipeline there would contaminate all of our downstream water supply. Other than the few jobs that Maryland will get to build the pipeline, there is no other economic benefit to the state. Larry Hogan’s administration could have killed the pipeline but has let it move forward.
